Tryouts and training for the Hanover High School boys soccer program will begin on Monday, August 16th at the Dresden Athletic Facility on Rt. 5 in Norwich, VT. All training sessions for Hanover boys' soccer will be held at these fields during both preseason and the school year. This includes Varsity, Junior Varsity and Reserve teams. We are very excited about having all players together for training at one facility. The complex is located on Rt. 5, half a mile south of the Car Store and the Kildeer Farm Stand. Take the next left after Kildeer at a sign for the Colton Office Building. There is a sign of "Dresden Athletic Fields". Please park in the designated space, and not in the circle at the end of the parking lot.
Trouts for all varsity candidates in grades 9-12 will be held on Monday at 9:30 - 11:30 a.m., and 5:00 - 7:00 p.m., and on Tuesday from 9:00 - 11:30 a.m. All Hanover players are welcome to attend these sessions. After the Tuesday session, 40-45 varsity candidates will be invited to continue training for the rest of the week. The first session for this group will be the Alumni Game on the Hanover High grass field on Tuesday evening at 6:00, although all HHS players should come at 5:00 p.m.
Tryouts for Junior Varsity and Reserve teams will resume on August 23 at Rt. 5 from 8:30 - 11:30 a.m. and 5:00 - 7:00 p.m., and on Tuesday from 9:30 - 11:30 a.m. All three team rosters wil be finalized at that point. The Varsity and JV will have home scrimmages on Tuesday and Wednesday evenings.
