The JV soccer team beat Goffstown 10-0 on Wednesday, running their record to 3-0 on the young season. Goffstown had entered the match with a 3-0, but were no match for the yellow-clad Marauders.
Zach Taylor opened the scoring, an then Rocco Linehan picked up the first of his two goals, assisted by Daniel Hernandez, who made an excellent lead pass for him. Xavi Tchana made the score 3-0, assisted by Alec Murphy. Drake Greenwood scored his first goal of the season, and Connor Godon closed out the first half scoring.
Tchana tallied his second goal to begin the second half goal parade, followed by Linehan's second of the day and fifth of the season. Rocco then assisted on Xavi's second tally to make the score 8-0. Sophomore Peter Bensen converted a pass from Jacob LaPoint to make the score 9-0, and Liam Gantrish got the final marker, assisted by Eli Connolly.
Duncan Piper and Ryan O'Rourke shared the shutout in goal.
The JVs return to action Saturday, travelling to Coe-Brown. Departure time for that match will be 8:00 a.m.
